Used Machine Tools Ireland Ltd is a limited company registered in Ireland(Company Number). Our registered office address is in Killahora North, Glounthaune, Co. Cork

How We Collect Information from you

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example when you contact us about products , when you email us, telephone us or visit us. 


Our website uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. The tool monitors which pages on our website are "clicked" the most. This is anonymous information.


What Type of Information is collected from you

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, phone number.


How we use your information

We may use your information to:


  • Process orders you have submitted including but not limited to sending an order and billing/invoices
  • Contact you to answer your queries and questions
  • Provide you with a quotation
  • Provide you with an update for your order
  • Notify you of changes to our services, policies or terms and conditions.
  • Send you communications which you have requested


We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil obligations as part of running a limited company, for example retention of accounts for 6 years. All personal data is destroyed after 6 years following last contact. This retention period allows us to serve you as a customer better, protects your personal information and fulfils our legal responsibilities.


Who has Access to your Information

Your Private Information will never be sold, rented or loaned to any third party or shared for any marketing purpose and is used by Used Machine Tools Ireland Ltd strictly for business purposes only. 


Third party Service Providers working on our behalf

We may pass your information to a third party service provider or agents for the purposes of fulfilling an order or processing a payment, for example your details may be passed to a transport company for delivery of your order or to a service engineer. Where we use third party providers, we will only disclose personal information which is necessary to deliver the service. 


Personal information stored on our site by our customers will only be available to primary customer service representatives, system administrators, and accounting personnel.

This website uses Machinery Host and Google Analytics to help us analyse how users use the site. This information is then used to evaluate visitors' use of the website so that we can make improvements where necessary. 


We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of visitors to our site. Machinery Host will not associate your IP address with any other data held by any other bodies. Neither we nor Machinery Host will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any Personally Identifiable Information from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on our website or via email.


We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation, or if we’re under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our employees and our customers. Your Choices

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. 

At this time we do not send any direct marketing by post, however we do send marketing emails via Mailchimp and through our website CRM System, usually every 4 – 6 weeks.  If you have opted in to receive email marketing from us you can notify us at any time that you no longer wish to receive these.


How you can Access, Update and Apply for the removal your information

The accuracy of your information is important to us. If the data you have provided to us is inaccurate or has changed, please email us at noel.moloney@usedmachinetoolsireland.com so that we can update the information. 


You have the right to request a copy of the information Used Machine Tools Ireland Ltd holds about you. This request will be processed in line with GDPR and you can request this by emailing us to noel.moloney@usedmachinetoolsireland.com with the subject – Access request


Under article 17 of the GDPR, individuals have the right to have personal data erased, also known as ‘right to be forgotten’ in certain circumstances. You can request this in an email to us. Please note that we may not be able to delete all personal data especially if we have a legal obligation to keep the data for a period of time, for example for accounting. We will provide you with details of what we can and cannot remove, and the timescales without undue delay and within 1 month of receipt of your request.


Security Precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your data

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s protected and secure. 


Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we have robust, documented and regularly reviewed processes and policies in place to protect it’s security on our systems. 


We do not store any sensitive personal information (for example card details).
